and October are the loveliest months in Herceg-Novi. The
city and beaches are not crowded, sea water is cleaner
and the temperature is pleasant. One should really

Winter holydays in Herceg-Novi
Have snow, rain and fog
already started to irritate you?
Would you like to make
a brake off these special ‘winter joys’ and make a pause
somewhere where you can enjoy sun, green vegetation and
mild weather even in the middle of the winter season?
If you answer is
positive than we would warmly recommend you to visit
Herceg-Novi, the city of rich flora bathed in sun for
more than 200 days a year. Yearly average temperature is
17°c, while there is 105 days with the temperature of
above 25°c.
During the winter
Herceg-Novi is a right place for soul and mind
relaxation. During the pleasant winter days one can
enjoy a long strolls alongside a sunny sea promenade
bathed. You can take your time and get to now
Herceg-Novi in details. There is a range of interesting
places to be visited outside the city such as: Ostrog
Monastery, city of Kotor, Perast, Skadar Lake, city of
Cetinje, city of Dubrovnik (in Croatia)…
For all those that must
have snow during the winter, there is mountain Orjen
just in the hinterland of Herceg-Novi. It takes just 45
min. by car to get to the snowy mountain straight from
the sunny beach. And the mountain itself has some modest
but pleasant accommodation capacities for mountaineers.
To be the honest during
the winter time Herceg-Novi does not offer particularly
interesting night life, however during the Mimosa
Carnival Festival in February the city is host to a
numerous cultural and carnival events. And certainly
there is always city of Kotor with its numerous winter
festivals, just 45 km far.
